More people stopped looking for work

August job gains fell below expectations, but the jobless rate was the lowest in almost five years.
The employment rate fell to 7.3% from 7.4%, the Labor Department said. That's the lowest since December 2008. However, the drop came because 312,000 Americans stopped working or looking for work not because there have been more job openings.

I already did an article similar to this one. People have given up and stopped looking for work. More people will probably register for welfare now so that's not good. I don't know how they can't find jobs because there has to be openings at a grocery store or somewhere where they could make at least minimum wage instead of doing nothing.

Families affected by unemployment

According to the article, U.S. families affected by unemployment has gone up 33 percent. Nevada, California, Hawaii have an even higher percentage. Households with children under 18 where at least one parent is unemployed rose from 2.4 million to 3.2 million. Economic well-being worsened for families with children, home ownership has declined, and the food stamp receipt increased.

Obviously this isn't good for our country, it's pretty self explanatory. This shows that the recession isn't getting any better and it's gradually getting worse. More and more people are forced to rely on the government for food stamps. It's really upsetting.
